September 29th – the day where we celebrate one of the greatest beverages invented on earth… HAPPY INTERNATIONAL COFFEE DAY! We’d like to take a moment and thank Coffee, for always being there in the time of need. You always know how to wake me up every morning with a smile on my face.
To help us celebrate this glorious day of all days, where at Art Club Concept – we live for this day, we’ve listed our top hotspots for Coffee and a side of breakfast/brunch just for you! (Seriously Melbourne, you're amazing.)
1. Hash Specialty Coffee Café
Ever had homemade fairy floss melt into your hot chocolate with the heat of more chocolate being poured on top? Neither! Located at Hardware Street CBD, Specialty Coffee is trending through the roof! Perfect place for a steady morning breakfast or a quick stop for coffee; the smell of fresh coffee beans will immediately awaken your senses. If that doesn’t do the trick this café also features little hidden doors with a level overlooking the shop; private dining pods lined with lightwood; and a long share-table under a neon hash tags – that will keep you in awe.
2. Arno Italian Espresso Bar

Ever wanted to go Italy? Well let’s test the waters by entering into Arno’s! Small, simple and peaceful, is what best describes this place. Recreating the traditional Italian espresso bar – is high in good, friendly service, with consistently great coffee – what more do we need? Take a turn into Cromwell Street in Collingwood and feel as if you’re in Florence with its sleek, crisp design that uses black, white and dark green – How Charming.

Set in the humble space of Church Street, Richmond is ‘Fresh Organic Goods Café’ which provides you with fast, nutritious and delicious organic food on the go. Not only does it provide healthy goods but shelves are stacked with wholefood cookbooks and body oils and fridges are filled with house-made nut milks and coconut water.
4. Pillar of Salt

There’s something nice walking into a store that just makes you forget about the chaos outside. Take a step away from your busy day whether at work or running errands and step into Pillar of Salt. Based in Richmond – the place is known for a perfect place for breakfast or brunch on a nice spring day. The lively sound of coffee grinding and chefs humming in the kitchen – is just charming whilst sipping your coffee.
5. Higher Ground

A spot that is good for ALL senses. From taste, smell, sound and especially to the eye! A new café has just opened on Little Bourke Street, Melbourne. All things great have been spread around by the Melbournians - accentuating the wondrous of its indescribable interiors from ceiling to floor with its classic rustic vibes. Enjoy your breakfast or lunch with your toes tapping to some top tunes surrounded by the atmosphere of awakening all the good to kick start your day!
6. Urban Projuice Wholefood Café & Juice Bar

Need a morning or arvo boost? If you want to keep in a healthy vibe, you can’t miss Urban Projuice. It’s a MUST to try their mouth watering signature breakfast dish which is vegan, gluten-free buckwheat pancakes, served with coconut ice-cream, banana, mixed berries and strawberry dusting. Made in a cosy space in Albert Park with a little stairway up to a beautiful balcony – can really take your breath away on a Monday morning. If you want to take your health onto another level try out their cooking classes of free meditation sessions!
7.The Kettle Black

Known to be a Breakfast Restaurant in the South of Melbourne – surround yourself with relaxed vibes, pot plans and an astonishing Marble bar. If you have don’t have enough time to go inside, on the busiest of days there is a coffee cart which sits out the front for a quick coffee stop, just to make your day a little easier.
8. Combi Coffee

Inspired by the travels through Bali, Hawaii and New York – this creative, healthy and coffee making business was born. Based in Elwood, you can’t go wrong with a cold pressed juice or coffee to go with a breakfast bowl filled with goodness!

Hortus – Latin for Garden. Get that extra breath of fresh air and greenery right near the waters of Docklands. The cafe is collaboration between the Carlton coffee mecca and art/architecture studio Utopian Folk. It takes the form of a stand-alone greenhouse that features native and edible plants from a local artist. So grab a quick coffee to go, enjoy the view of the waterfront and be on your way to a glorious day!
10. The Parlour Milk Bar & Kitchen
Away from the CBD, there’s a place called Beaumaris that is the location of The Parlour Milk bar and Kitchen. Bringing you fresh food, great coffee and homewares together in a clean and homely eatery that serves breakfast and lunch daily. Enjoy the sun-drenched deck in summer and the cosy open fireplace in winter.
11. Sensory Lab

Somewhere on Bourke St, is Sensory Lab Café. Firmly focused on helping its customers find new ways to appreciate coffee. It would be a great way to get together with some friends and test out your senses with a variety of brewing methods. A barista wearing a white lab-coat (seriously) will be happy to point you in the right direction, in what might be best for you. A coffee doctor, who ever thought that was a thing – Sensory Lab has created and succeeded in such thing.
