WHY WE REMEMBER ON ANZAC DAY

On Monday the 25th of April we’ll be remembering the courage, mateship and sacrifice of all the Australians and New Zealanders who died while serving during WWI, granting us the peace and freedom we all have today.
The red poppies were the first to flower in the battlefields of northern France & Belgium and in soldiers folklore the vivid red of the poppy was said to come from the blood of those who died soaking the ground.
Today we’ll be wearing a red poppy as a mark of remembrance, respect and thanks to those who have allowed us to do what we so passionately do today.
