Renting seems to be an inevitable part of life but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it feel like home! Whether you stay in your rental for a few months or years, it is possible to brighten up the space to give it that homely feel without angering your landlord.
Here are 3 simple ways any renter can use to brighten up their rental home...

1 // HOOK ME UP
If you see a hook on the wall... Use it! We all know landlords can be a bit reluctant to let us nail a hole in their walls but if you find any existing hooks in your rental be sure to make full use of them! Wall art is the easiest way to dress up your walls and create a focal point for the room. Why not try our ‘Explore’ wall art to add a fun splash of blue or for some daily mantra inspiration our 'Painted Diamonds' wall art.. If you’re unlucky and your rental has perfectly intact walls remember; there’s no harm in asking! You might be pleasantly surprised with the response. Why not bring the outdoors in? There’s nothing we love more than a bit of greenery to really add some life into the home. Pot plants, floor plants, herb gardens... The list just goes on! As long as you’re sensible with your plant choices (a floor plant on white carpet... Perhaps not the best idea) once you move out it’s as if they were never there! Our pick is a small pot plant on a floating shelf...

Cushions are our answer to almost everything & why wouldn’t they be! Dress up any sofa, bed or arm chair with a bright playful cushion to instantly add some character to the room. The best part; if you’re wanting to mix it up they can easily be rotated from room to room or mixed and matched. Never underestimate the power of the cushion!
